By April our psyche begins to want Emma Stone to drink in color, like a tall glass of cool water in a hot desert, its presence utterly refreshing and life affirming, promising Emma Stone our rescue from the bleak monochromatic Emma Stone backdrop of the winter landscape.For Glamour magazine’s May cover I worked with radiant, not to mention super cool, Emma Stone who I think encapsulates the youthful optimism and energy of early Spring perfectly. Emma Stone happens to be one of my favorite people in the world so I realize I may be a little biased, but these shots taken by Matthias Vriens McGrath really capture her spirit and personality well. Emma doesn’t take herself too seriously and I think that comes through in these photographs.I went for a bright sheer raspberry lip Emma Stone Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in love) paired with a classic cat eye using Calligraphy liner pen by Hourglass Cosmetics on the cover then changed it up on the inside shots, using only Emma Stone warm neutrals Josie Maran Argan oil lipstick in Birthday Suit on her lips and a concoction of Taupe #15 cream shadow by Make Up For Ever Emma Stone mixed with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream on her eyes, Emma Stone creating two very different looks.I had a seriously fun day on this shoot, doing what I love to do most in the world, play with make up, laugh, eat, and create Emma Stone beautiful pictures. This was the first cover I’ve done with Emma Stone since she had her hair colored blonde for her role as Gwen Stacey in the new Amazing Spiderman. Emma Stone It was great getting to experiment with Emma Stone a whole new color palette and approach to her make up.
