Genelia D'souza has established herself as one of the leading actresses of the South Indian film industry.In addition to movie acting, D'Souza has hosted the television show Big Switch, and is the brand ambassador of Fanta, Virgin Mobile India, Fastrack, Margo, and Perk in India. D'Souza was a part of Tamil director Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, an event which seeks to raise funds for The Banyan, a voluntary organisation which rehabilitates homeless women with mental illness in Chennai. D'Souza is deeply religious and says that, Genelia D'souza regularly attends Sunday Mass at St. Anne's Parish, and whenever the family is home, a part of their evening is reserved for saying the rosary together. In an interview with The Times of India, she comments, "I keep a Novena every Wednesday at St. Michael’s Church in Mahim . It was established in 1930 and is being managed by the fourth generation of the founders' families. The East Indian Book of the Year award went to Cassia Pereira who released a cookbook this year. Cassia is the daughter of Dorothy, who wrote 'Trace' on the subject of East Indian history.
